The 2021 KE Award Categories

The KE Awards provide recognition nationally, and beyond, for the exceptional work that is taking place across the sector. Winning, or being shortlisted for an award, can enhance your reputation and that of your team and your institution.

The awards can increase the visibility of your work, help secure new business and also be used by your institution as future case studies.

  • The awards will open for entries on Wednesday 9 June 2021

  • Submission deadline is Wednesday 21 July 2021

  • Winners will be announced at the KE Awards ceremony on Thursday 18 November 2021

KE Partnership of the Year

This award recognises the success of an external partnership which demonstrates the value of collaboration.

Academic Engagement of the Year

This award recognises an initiative which demonstrates innovative ways to drive awareness of and increase impactful KE activity with and through academic colleagues.

KE Deal of the Year

This award recognises a KE team or professional for delivery of outstanding impact through a particular deal (licensing, spinout, royalty etc.).

KE Team of the Year

This award recognises a KE team who have significantly exceeded expectations to deliver innovation and value to their colleagues and their institution as a whole.

Place-Based Initiative of the Year

This award recognises the success of a place-based KE initiative which demonstrates the value and impact that collaborative KE activity can have on a local ecosystem.

KE Volunteer of the Year

This award recognises the outstanding contribution of an expert practitioner engaged in volunteering activities for PraxisAuril, for the benefit of the entire KE community.

Pandemic Pivot of the Year

This special award for 2021 recognises innovative and impactful initiatives which were implemented during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic and which have the potential to be applied across disciplines and/or to support innovation in other priority focus areas e.g. climate change. This may include digital solutions that have been introduced in 2020/21.
